A similar incident happened in the life of 16-year-old Anjali Singh of Dhangadi Sub-metropolitan City-2, Jugedi.
According to police, her husband Himmat Singh murdered his wife suspecting an illicit relationship. An investigation into the case has established Himmat involvement in the murder.
A husband has murdered his wife within two months of marriage. The couple had marriage by eloping. But, the relationship turned sour after the wife didn’t undergo menstruation. Alleging that his wife has become pregnant by an illicit relationship, the husband murdered his better half.
The accused has already accepted his involvement in the murder. He has told the police that he suffocated his wife to death using a rope while she was in a deep sleep. Police investigation reveals that the accused then dug a pot in a nearby river and disposed the dead body.
According to SP Arjun Chand, the accused had suspected that his wife was four-month pregnant from an illicit relationship. Then, he had murdered his better-half.
