Nepal suffered a six wicket loss to Pakistan Under-23 team in their first match of the ACC Emerging Teams Cup being held at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium Academy Ground in Bangladesh on Monday.

Pakistan’s Imam Ul Haq stole the show by scoring a century plus four in 135 balls and remained not out throughout the innings.

Nepali bowlers struggled to take wickets with opener Imran Butt being bowled, but only after the Pakistani side put up 67 runs on the board. Haris Sohail was next to go scoring 17 runs followed by Mohammad Rizwan (10 runs). Hussail Talat faced three balls before returning back to the pavilion for naught.

For Nepal, Sandeep Lamichhane and Gyanendra Malla took two wickets each.

Earlier, Nepal had posted a target of 181 runs with a loss of nine wickets after Pakistan won the toss and chose to field first.
