A canal dug by the Indian Forest Department employees at the no man's land near the Nepal - India border at Madhuban Municipality - 5 has been filled up by Nepal's Armed Police Force (APF), Sanoshree.The employees of the Katarniya Wildlife Reserve India dug up 20 meter long canal by using an excavator in the area located between border pillars 75 and 76.The armed police team led by Inspector Bhupendra Pal was dispatched to the site immediately after getting the tip off and took a stand that both the countries are not allowed to carry out any activities at the no man's land. "they claimed that the land they were digging was on the side of India," Inspector Pal said and added, "There was confusion if the area was located nine meters within the border pillar, so we filled it up. "the international law bars any countries from carrying out any activities in the no man's land. Meanwhile, Bardiya's Chief District Officer (CDO) Bishnu Bahadur Thapa said he did not have any knowledge regarding the incident.
