Bajaj Motorcycles launched its new creation, the Bajaj V15 on July 10. The 150cc motorcycle from Bajaj gets metal from the scrapped aircraft carrier INS Vikrant, which is the USP of the bike. It is powered by a single cylinder, four-stroke, SOHC two-valve, air cooled, DTS-I engine generating maximum power of 12 bhp at 7500 rpm and peak torque of 13 Nm at 5500 rpm.
Shekhar Golchha, Managing director, HH Bajaj, said, “Unmanaged traffic, ruthless public vehicle drivers, unpredictable weather and potholed roads have made roads a war zone. In order to address these problems, a weapon had to be designed; one that would cater to the riders’ needs and help them overcome these road hassles,” adding that V15 has been launched keeping these factors in mind.
